Their phone system is very bad. You can never get a chance to talk to a real person: after you punch the selected option, they put you on hold forever, there is actually nobody on the other side to answer you. our pool pump went out. called FAH, they call the subcontractor. got a call a day later saying it was because of the rain we had in phoenix! when i called the pool company, they did not answer, you could not leave a message and there was no follow up. I've spent more than 8 hours on phone; days sitting around. Took 4 1/2 weeks to repair minor dryer issue. Now HWH has leak. I've had 3 work orders, 3 appointments, sitting around all day. No once did I receive a call they were running late or needed to reschedule. All NO shows without notice. Shortly after purchasing a home, the air conditioner compressor went bad. Turns out the previous owners dog used it as a *** post. But hey, we have insurance that covers this. I regret ever having bought a policy from this company. They will not allow you to hire your own technician if they are able to locate one that will "contact" you within 24 hours of your claim. By "contact" they simply mean call you, but not necessarily actually fix your issue. When you can the 1-800 number they sound very professional. Then when the contractor shows up,it all goes to pieces. The contractor came out and told us our motor on our washing machine was going and it had to be replaced. He would have to write a report to First American to get it replaced. Horrible horrible service! Been with them since 2010 because they came attached with my new home. first American home buyers protection, has given us the run around for the last 2 months. They would fix the problem then they denied it. They have a second opinion, and now wanting a third opinion we are fed up. First American homebuyers protection should just honor the contract and follow through....
