I was told when ypur service man from smokey mt plumbing came to my house, broke the fitting and left after i paid him the 65$ Then I hired my own person to the tune of 381$ and 450 to take the water out of my basement, not including the damage to walls floors snd ceiling! FAHW will leave you on hold for 30-50 minutes, then you will speak to someone you cannot understand, or who does not understand you. I used their Messaging system to try to expedite the claim information and it took 5 days to get a response. Service technician showed up on the wrong day, and when they did show up on the day we had the appointment, they were over 30 minutes late, beyond the 3 hour window. On 6/20/16 one of my HVAC systems was not cooling so I called First American (FA) and they arranged for the contractor to arrive the next day. On 6/21 contractor determined that the entire system needed replacement. Several days went by before FA called to let me know they approved the replacement and that the new unit would arrive in about a week. This company clearly needs to change it's customer service model and it's service level agreements. When it was over 90 degrees and my air conditioner was out (I work from home full time), the last thing I wanted every single customer service person that I managed to reach (after lengthy hold times) was that 'it was policy.' We have turned in 4 issues in 3 1/2 years all off them took over a week to get contractor out. The first was plumbing three plumbers couldn't unclog sink but told us how they are not allowed to do certain things per warranty company. The other three were ac issues. First one was fixed after week. Second they couldn't get for almost two weeks hired our own company showed that day ( they say it needs expensive part you need to get warranty company... Read more

Be very careful about all of the exclusions. We had a major clog in our plumbing and they weaseled out of fixing the problem based on the lack of convenient access. For something as fundamental as a plumbing clog, I feel that they should make sure there is a functional system! What is the point of insurance.

We pay every month on time for home warranty service from this company. This company has not sent anyone out to our home for 5 days. Their contract says that they will contract someone in no more than 48 hours. We have been put on hold, hung up on, and still no service. I am highly disappointed with this company . Having problem getting service within the 2 day limit. I am still waiting for a resolution for my refrigerator / freezer repair. No one is available until next week, while my food is going bad. They refuse to allow for other damages.

I sent this email Back in Jan-Feb, we had an issue with our dishwasher. After responding our residence, (PREMIER APPLIANCE SERVICE) the plumber was unable to discovered the issue causing the dishwasher to not function. He did discover we had a broken upper rack. I've been with First American for over 12 yrs. Overall they are just ok, but gotten worse over the years. I had my AC failed while we are experiencing 95+ degree weather. This is a new unit they replaced just 2 yrs ago. It. Has been over 24 hrs and still no service provide has been assigned.
