Do not use this company! Waited 10 days for a pulmber to call me, they called but never showed up!!! Will NOT send competent plumber. Waited 4 weeks for 2 leaking faucets, WE finally called them back.... they could not find the 'part'. We found it by calling the faucet company in 10 minutes. 5 weeks later we have water leak in the wall. Waited 3 days for FAHW plumber to show up.... he could not do the work, 3 different excuses..... so, now 4 days later we STILL have leak in the walls. NO RESOLUTION by calling FAHW .... NONE. My heat went out . I called FA and they sent Winfield Corp, a contractor, who then reported that my heat issues was due to improper maintenance. FA says not covered by warranty, Contractor was wrong. I paid for a 2nd contractor who said it was a compression switch. FA says we are cant help you you have to use the same contractor that we supplied you. So I faxed my second opinion. This is the worst home warranty company. The first year I paid for an entire year in advanced. There was no follow up call to renew my warranty. I was told the only time it automatically renews is if I pay month to month. Prior to realizing my warranty ends, 3 days before it ended I placed a claim. It's all the same story over and over again. Most of the contractors have 0 skill in their profession. Bunch of shady idiots. I read a job posting from one of the plumbing contractors they send. Just one thing written under experience level; "Required experience: Plumbing - Home Warranty: 1 year" Now let that sink in. No actual plumbing experience required. First American Home Warranty - Totally Blown Away by FAHW's Business Practices!

I would like to join you in a class action against FAHW. The reason being is that they are falsely advertising what they say they cover. I closed on my house 17OCT2016 and moved in that day. The seller's purchased this warranty and it was transferred to me during the closing. My water heater went out a couple of days ago. I used the online service and filed the claim. The next day they sent out a vendor to diagnosis the problem. He determined the unit needed replacing. Three days later I have not heard from anyone so I call the vendor. The vendor says they are waiting on First American. I call first American and they tell me I have to agree to pay the uncovered charges to the tune of $886!!! This is a routine... Read more

Scheduled them to fix my HVAC unit, they sent a tech and after 3 hours he said that the unit was fried and needs to be replaced due to an electric surge and they closed the case so I called them and they told me to bring a tech which I did and he found the problem and fixed it, then I called them and they asked me to send the bill for refund which I did and waited over 10 days for a call and nothing happened so I start calling them and it's the... My air conditioner stopped working in July. I opened a claim immediately. Constantly contacted them because I have health issues. September gets here and my air conditioner was still not fixed. Will not be renewing my contract

Very disappointed. Our air conditioner has been broken for 3 weeks now and we're still getting the run-around between the technicians and First American Home Warranty. I would never recommend anyone getting a contract with this company for extended home warranty purposes. Claim # 608466198
