Filed claim on August 29, 2016.First contractor never showed up after we left work to wait for them on scheduled day. Finally September 19th second contractor showed up and stayed 10 minutes and left. Presented us with a bill for over $1000 for supposed required upgrades and were going to bill FAHW for a new compressor. Upgrades were bogus as our area does not require pulling a permit for a compressor replacement. FAHW would not authorize a...

Worste customer service ever.I asked to have a contractor changed bc last summer it took this same contractor a month and a half to fix my AC in the dead heat of Houston summer. My hardwoods started to whelp and mold in my walls from sitting for so long in 100+ degrees and houston humidity. I finally got my AC fixed, or so I thought. My roofer told me the unit is cracked and leaking everywhere. So when I called first American, they insisted that...

they sent a company to my house to fix my heat in Dec..well they came back Feb. Mar. May , June .July and again in Aug. it took 8 months to fix. it would work for 4 to 6 weeks and I would have to call again.. I have paid the service fee 6 times only to find they had a F rating with the better business bureau..contract said they would check out companies and only send the best... Totally ripped off. customer service had no concern. even in the...

What a joke!First American does everything in their power NOT to replace appliances. We've had First American out three times (in 6 months) to fix our microwave. Each time the tech tries a new fix and it works for a few weeks and then it breaks again. 10 days ago our A/C went out and we filed a claim. Mind you, the A/C is the original A/C to the house so it's 16 years old. FA's first contractor came out and reported the compressor was defective....

I am a senior with a respiratory condition requiring oxygen 24/7.Our unit went out on 8/18 and a technician arrived at 4:00 pm on Mon. 8/22. He diagnosed the problem as a compressor shorted to ground or what is commonly referred to in the industry as a burn out. From there this fiasco has deteriorated into a *** match between the warranty company (First American) and the contractor (L&S Air Conditioning) over additional up sell fees that are...

I have tried to file a claim for a burnt out circulator pump on my HVAV heat pump. After going through several days of hoops in what appears to be a customer service portal and phone systems designed to "make you quit" , I was able to get a contractor out. He seems of, checked the pump and said it was shot. he would put in a request to FAHW to get the pump ordered. FAHW came back and said the pump was not covered as it was an auxiliary piece...

I just now got an "approval" to proceed with an independent HVAC company after FOUR days of being without AC in a heat advisory here in WV.I explained that I have Lupus (heat triggers issues) and cancer, that I am AARP. The worst of it is that there is a motor running with the unit that can't be shut off! It has ran for four days. I am unable to crawl into the crawl space under the house. DAy after day, spending so many hours on hold....it came...

I reported my claim for HVAC system in March of 2016 and here it is July, this company purchasing department seem not to know what they are doing, they have purchased the wrong equipment twice, now the last company that they requested my HVAC from will not have the equipment until August, you mean to tell, they could not find another company who has the equipment, you mean to tell me it takes 6 months to replace a HVAC system, and how is a...

I totally understand everyone's plight, I am experiencing this right now and every word you say is true.I only have one HVAC system unfortunately and the temps are over a 100 degrees with humidity here in Virginia Beach,VA. I have 3 young children, all of whom either have severe allergies or asthma plus the same for me; my home is miserable. I have gotten fans, a window unit but nothing works. It's a nightmare; with First American you're on...

First American Home Warranty has not repaired our air conditioner we submitted on 5/22/16 and will not return our calls nor the claims resolution specialist that is assigned to our claim (Natalie Perez). This company just wants your contract money and not repair things. They have been patching our HVAC in March 2016, April 2016, and now in May. Our unit has been out now for 17 days and the temps have been in the high 80's to high 90's. The...

Very bad service. They use contractors that are subrated and deny claims only after the customer is required to pay the service call charge which is $15 more this year than last. You will wait 3-5 days longer than necessary for service then wait for the parts and more delayed service time.
