Called First American when Air Conditioner did not cool. Repair person arrived with in 2 days. 2 men looked at unit in my condo and also on the roof ( as you know Condo's have units on the roof top. I am on the 3rd floor of a 4 story Condo. Within 15 minutes they told me that my condenser was bad and also the electrical panel was bad also. I did get an email from First American in 2 days with the report that they were covering my repair. I...

I was told that I had to give a 60 day notice. Yet First America Home Buyers Protection is taking $59.00 out of my account and I am charged for a service call of $60.00 at time of service. They have known that my A/C unit has been going out for over a year and Frist American choses to continue to bandage the problem. Affective as of January 27, 2016. I will be stopping ALL payments immediately. Linda Winkleman

They are horrible. Called 3/4 times that my heating is not working and that was even before the snowstorm. Every time they asked for 24 hours. But no one had courtesy of giving one minute to get back to me and explain the situation that they didn't find any contractor in my area or find a contractor for me. This company will just take your money. Remind you, this is the first time I called them for service in the entire year, and they already...

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! This company always has a 25-40 minute phone wait and uses contractors that try to find loopholes that prevent them from having to pay. Every time the only A/C company they use comes to my house they tell me that my coil needs to be cleaned before First American will authorize them to make the repair and wants $250 to do it. This tactic incentivizes the homeowner to pay out of pocket for the repair as most repairs cost...

We experienced an issue with our air conditioner this summer. I called First American and they dispatched a local home services company, but they passed the work on to another company because of the nature of the fix. The service call fee was then passed on to the second company, but we were not charged a service call fee by either company. My problem with First American is that they did not notify us that we owed a service call fee. They have a...

Took 5 months to get AC fixed - the only thing I go from this company was damaged floors, anxiety and headaches. Now they won't even take my calls after they agreed to repair the damage. It's been over a month with several calls and emails and I can't get a hold of anyone. It's ridiculous that you pay them for coverage and they apparently don't even want to talk to you. I guess they hope you just get frustrated and go away.

This is what happened and FAHBP did nothing but charge me an additional $60.00 and AC furnace still does not work. Their customer service manager would not even get on the phone with me. They put up a statement on their website that they will contact you no latter then 24 hours, read below it took them a week. A week with out water, ac, or heat!!! Just remember that we all pay for this service and we need to make sure the do as they say and...

Put in AC claim back in mid June 2015. Finally sent someone out end of July to replace furnace that was working fine. Still had same problem and continued to call from day after installation to current. Unit went out completely in mid September and can't even get them to call me back. Left so many voicemails, emails, messages through website, twitter, etc. It's like they closed down, never for me to see my money again. Save your time, money...

We have been paying First American for over 10 years for a home warranty with the "upgraded" package that covers Central Air Conditioning. We have been fighting trying to get our Air Conditioner working since May of this year, when after they sent out numerous "authorized" but incompetent repair companies and us paying multiple deductibles they still couldn't get it fixed. Finally we were told that the compressor had failed due to a short that...
