I agree with your assessment in that this Company is a scam.My ac replacement was denied when a very small snake crawled into the unit & fried wireing. They called it an “Act of God” and denied my claim.

Was with them for 11 years. Denied! Never allowed to speak with a manager. Rude people.

Their contractors are doing their bidding and in their pocket to help the scam along.

Cost me over 9,500 to have replaced when they should have done it for my deductible co pay. Beware of this scam company folks.

Down payment issue regarding the oven

We already paid $85 to the first contractor Sears on line by our visa card when they first arrived at our house. Since they could not fix the oven PC board. you company got second contractor to fix the same oven. Since we already paid $85 dollars to Sears, we did not pay again to the second one for the same issue. Regards, Mike Virani

Open ticket since October 2021! Complete lack of communication! I call 20 times and no response!

The stove vent failed last October, we were sent a contractor that had never heard of a down draft (SEARS),they stood us up twice for additional appointments!, no notification provided, took the day off to meet vendor only to be stood up. No communication. They have failed miserably!! Yet the only call back is from sales wanting me to renew. My offer from them for eight months of frustration was a $50.00 credit to renew my policy!

Shaddy Contractors

I had 2 service requests, both was serviced by shady contractors, They said my home warranty not cover the repairs and asked for cash money to fix those. This plan was bought by the seller of my home because it was the cheapest plan.

Let’s see, service request November 21

Service request opened November 2021 Best thing First American home warranty is good for, 30-90 min hold and hanging up! No return call no ask if all is good! Only call is your warranty is due to expire July 1st, renew now! Why would anyone renew with a company that hasnt been able to correct a problem from November, did I mention this is June 21st! I think they owe me a free year, nothing else is broken, pretty bad the only communication is wanting to sell me a new policy

User's recommendation: Don’t buy a home warranty from this firm, unless you want to call 20-30 times, receive no response, receive no action and get hung up on every time you ask for a supervisor!

Is this really a legitimate response from the company? My service request # is right there in the review in the screen shots of my claim.

I realize that your coverage does not extend to ice dispensers, but my main complaint was that the refrigerator would not close properly and was creating condensation build up inside the refrigerator as well as creating a lack of cooling. Now the fridge has gone to the point that the inside temp.

has been above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. So I have had to order a new fridge when it should have been covered by the warranty that your company was supposed to provide.

The contract is basically useless.

I have been waiting 3 months for a new water heater. Most of the customer service reps barely speak English and even when they do, they forget to make notes. Either way, nothing happens and I'm left waiting with no ETA whatsoever and no explanations.

Horrible experience - do not buy!

A motor in my exhaust needed to be replaced. Work order was started in October 2021. Today is May 13, 2022. Task was never fulfilled. Payback promised ONLY $25!!! Worst is to come: my AC broke down March 1, 2022. Contractor looked at it March 10, 2022. Never heard back. Report was NOT sent in. Then it was said that part is on back order. Finally cancelled the service and hired a reputable company. Part was available and I have finally a running AC since May 11, 2022. Will never do business with this company again!!! They work with known con artists who do not fulfill their work.

No call or response in a month

I called for a service call for plumbing leaks . Its almost a month the plumbing company said they are having issues with home warranty getting the job approved. This is awful I am disabled and having leaks . This should have been done and resolved by now . I cant believe this I mean this is what home warranty is supposed to be about .First American Home Warranty Corporation is failing the customer

Same here. Over a month and no repairman.

Food is spoiling in freezer too. 118 degrees outside, so it would be nice to have the ice dispenser working.

Local rep told me to call the repairman and pay then I would be reimbursed. He got upset with me for telling him the problems I have had with fahw.

Consistently VERYPOOR Quality from service providers

Every service provider I dealt with since we contracted First American were either incompetent or not interested to do the job right. I was told by one of them that they are not getting their moneys worth so it as good as it will get... I am a bit speech less when I see the amount of bad reviews and the company is not doing a thing to make it better.... Bad ownership, Bad management.

4 customer service rep's has advised me First American was replacing my washing machine after 5 weeks not working. First American case manager left a screeched message he was on top of it. This stinks being without washer for 5 weeks
