I called FAHW for my LG washer and waited a week for service. The repairman looked at the washer and misdiagnosed the problem as a maintenance issue. The washer read the code OE which means faulty drain pump. I contacted FAHW and stated that the washer was doing the same thing and gave them the code it was reading. They informed me that the repairman stated it was a maintenance issue and in order to send someone out I would have to pay someone else to provide a document stating that it wasn't a maintenance issue. This is after I had already paid the $85 and my washer still wasn't fixed. I had been with this company for years and recently have been getting this horrible run around. As soon as I find another acceptable Home warranty I'm out. This is a total scam...Run Forest Run

They have sent 3 contractors to repair a bathtub pump. None have been able to repair because they are not qualified. Now they tell me they are sending the first contractor back to review. This is insane.

I SIGNED A PREMIUM WARRANTY AND CALLED ABOUT A SLOW LEAKING WATERPIPE FROM THE SHOWER. DEFECT WAS DETECTED IN THE CEILING OF BASEMENT.

WARRANTY ACCEPTED CLAIM AND ASSIGNED A PLUMBING COMPANY, WHO SHOULD CALL ME. AFTER A WEEK+ I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL, SO I CALLED THE COMPANY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS I TALKED TO SOME GUY DAN, WHO HAD NOTHING BUT EXCUSES WHY HE HAD NOT CONTACTED ME. HE GAVE ME AN AVAILABLE DATE TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE, WHICH WAS ANOTHER WEEK OUT.

THEN ARRIVED A PRIVATE VAN ( NO COMPANY LOGO ETC.) AN A VERY PRIVATE LOOKING MAN (NO UNIFORM OR NAME TAG), LOOKED AT THE DAMAGE. HE INDICATED THAT HE HAS TO CONTACT HOME WARRANTY AND WOULD GET BACK TO ME. I DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM FOR FIVE DAYS, SO I CALLED AGAIN. HE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND SAID THAT HE REPORETED THE DAMAGE BUT HAD NOT HEARD BACK.

AS A CONTRACTED COMPANY (TO ME HE LOOKED RATHER LIKE A ONE-MAN OPERATOR) HE SHOULD HAVE EASY CONTACT, BUT HE SAID "THEIR PHONE IS ALWAYS BUSY.

THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE AS WELL AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO TALK TO SOMEBODY AT WARRANTY, SHE SAID THAT SHE CAN'T HELP ME, I SHOULD CONTACT THE CONTRACTOR DIRECTLY.

NOW I AM IN A RUN-AROUND AND NOBODY IS FINISHING THE JOB.

HOME WARRANTY DID NOT FULFILL THEIR CONTRACT OBLIGATION,

THE CONTRACTOR DID NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME OR BRING THAT CLAIM TO A CONCLUSION.

HERE I PAY MY MONTHLY DUES FOR GREAT PROMISES, BUT I AM STILL (AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS) DID GET NO HELP FROM EITHER OF THESE "IMPOSTERS". BOTH SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE BBB.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO.

Hose bibb that controls main water into house broke on Thanksgiving so we had no water. Started claim and was assigned, due to holiday and weekend didn't hear from anyone till Monday and then were told they were 3 hours from my home and First American keeps assigning them to areas they do not service(so obviously not the first time). Finally got someone else out only to of course find that though I have first class upgrade it's not covered so out service call money and the plumber quoted me super high price to fix. 6 days no water and get to start all over. Renewal was in 6 days so thankful I had perfect chance to not renew.

DO NOT USE... AGAIN DO NOT USE.. AVOID AT ALL COST the worst company I ever do business with. They hire the lowest of the lowest sub-contractors and pay them super cheap. and guest whst you get... super cheap work. I had electrician, plumber and HVAC companies coming to my home in the last 3 weeks and every job they have done i had to hire a regular company to either redo or finish the job. I wish for a class action suit again that company...if anyone know about it please let me know

They are deplorable. They have sent 3 contractors to my home to fix a bathtub whirlpool, pump.

Now they tell me they are sending back the first contractor. NUTS

I'm having issues with them also put in a claim on August 29, 2021 for my washing machine to this day it still doesn't work they keep ordering the part it comes damaged the last two times and they still wont replace it have to wait another two weeks for part and tech to come back out

Hot water heater

First of all, when they assign a plumber, the plumber comes out for an inspection only to then wait for an approval from First American to proceed with the water heater replacement. So now I need to wait another day without hot water and already waited 3 days when first filed the claim. Then I was told by First Amercian they DO NOT cover the permit fees, haul away, supply lines and new drip pan totaling $320 out of my pocket. All those months I pay the monthly warranty fee which by the way they also raised the service call fees from $75 to $85 per visit (just to inspect). Tthey also told me that I should upgrade to the First Class plan so my out of pocket fees would be covered next time. Who know how much more out of pocket monthly that would be and I don't care to know. Just wanted to share my experience and surprises I had today.

Well terrible service that i have to contact them to see what going on after a service person came out and gave the information to the company but no call and i have to contact them for information. My house is 83 degrees inside and want me to buy fans up to 50.00 for reimbursement or portable a/c unit for 150.00 reimbursement that it will cost more than that plus sit here over 4 days to get it work on.

Look into my policy and it stated that it is covered. But i paying 1475.00 to replace it and only they paying 200.00 so why i have them for coverage so i tell anyone please don't get them you be wasting your money and paying out of pocket to get things repaired.

Plus customer service is terrible kept hanging up on me and never solve my problem but staying it a good price and it can be much more. Please don't use them for your home warranty.

So much to say about this extremely dysfunctional company that the state needs to look into, they are hiding under the cover of consumers being at the mercy of doing business over the phone with them. How in the heck is it that the state attorney hasn't gotten involved when it's obvious that there are a lot of unhappy customers.

It's been now three months that I have had a stopped up sink, and they send out contractors that are absolutely useless, the last one to come to unstop my kitchen sink shows up with a flashlight and a wrench, smh! One contractor that's been scheduled to come to my home several of times flat out didn't show up on several occasions, yet they continue to withdrawal money from my acct, can you say THEFT?

FAHW you are stealing from by not delivering, stop with the excuses! It's your job to sort this all, that's what we customers are paying for, perhaps you're in the wrong freakin business!

I RATE THE SERVICE HERE -0 YOU HAVE COST ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN INCOME WAITING AROUND MY HOME FOR NOTHING.

Still waiting for service

AC went out in July 2021 attempted to contact FAHW was placed on hold several times for a minimum of 45 minutes. Eventually an agent answered my call and reviewed my claim agent informed me that the repairs are covered. Within a week a repaired man in his unmarked personal vehicle came and found the problem. He called me and informed me he was unable to do repair. Called FAHW a second time and they promised to send legitimate repair company. A month had gone by and had heard from no one. Now five months later Im still calling FAHW and repair company and my Air conditioning still not repaired. I would not use this company for anything!! Please comment on this page if you have any ideas for help!!

Oven Repair requested October 6th. It's now 6 days before Thanksgiving and we have been told it will be after Thanksgiving for the part to arrive. I'm beyond Livid...Thank you for ruining our Thanksgiving!!!

Called you to get our oven fixed October 6th a rep showed up looked at issue then left. It's now 6 days before Thanksgiving and we had to reach out to YOU today to be told the part won't be here until after Thanksgiving. We have all our family coming for Dinner Thanksgiving for the first time in 25 years we will all be together. And I'm serving Peanut butter and jelly!!! This is Not Acceptable poor Business practice for sure!!! I'm Sad and Very Mad !!!

July, 2021, my a/c went out. Five days later the repairman they sent said he fixed it. One hour later, no a/c. I called them for the repair company to come back. They never did-nor call me. 100 degrees in my house for a week. Husband and pets in hotel and vet. Finally, I got local company to come. They assessed it could not be repaired and they replaced it for $3,000. I sent that to First American. They deny my claim because the replacement "wasn't approved by them". My response was "no one would return to approve it." I have tried to negotiate with them. They send the same letter that it wasn't approved.

I paid a Sears Home Improvement subcontractor for a refrigerator repair contract in June 2021. He asked that my copay be made out to his company, Transform.co., which I did. First American later claimed I hadnt paid my copay since it wasnt made out to Sears. When I attempted to rectify this by explaining about the subcontractor, a supervisor essentially accused me of lying. I contacted my local Sears branch and was told that they did use a subcontractor for HVAC repairs. Before I could submit proof of this to First Am, they sent me yet another bill and threatened to send me to a collection agency all over $75. Naturally, I double paid the copay in order to protect my credit record. I will continue to try and prove this to them, but am not hopeful about the situation. They are so hard to contact by phone and make you hold for crazy amounts of time. Its too bad, because otherwise I have been pleased with their service. I paid for a repair that was covered under the Home Warranty but

I had a situation where I paid for a repair for my Pool repairs that was covered under my home warranty. It was a situation where I couldn't wait for First American as I couldn't get anywhere on the phone. I want to get reimbursed for it. How do I do so?
